The American College of the Building Arts is licensed by the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education, 1333 Main Street, Suite 200, Columbia, SC 29201, Telephone (803) 7372260, to offer programs leading to the degrees of Associate of Applied Science in Building Arts and Bachelor of Applied Science in Building Arts. Licensure indicates only that minimum standards have been met; it is not equivalent to or synonymous with accreditation by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
The American College of the Building Arts is not accredited. It is unlikely that accredited institutions will accept by transfer credit earned at ACBA or accept a degree earned at ACBA as a prerequisite for admission into bachelor’s or graduate programs. Students who intend to transfer to other institutions should first gain written confirmation from the other institution that it will accept transfer credit from ACBA.
