The American College of the Building Arts (ACBA) is dedicated to educating the next generation of building artisans and to preserving the building arts in a manner never before seen in America. Under the direction of our experienced faculty, students have the opportunity to receive a quality liberal arts education while they learn the skills needed to excel in their chosen field. This combination of education, training, and access to highly experienced faculty is available nowhere else in the United States.
ACBA Receives VA Certification

Courses are three credit hours each
Course Cost: $950.00 for general public / $600 for Seniors and Students
Each class will meet Monday – Friday, 8:30a.m.-4:30p.m.
Courses include:
- Introduction to Forged Ironwork
- Exploring Decorative Inlay Styles: Stringing & Line and Berry
- Traditional Masonry and Plaster Practice

ACBA in Southern Living Magazine
Southern Living magazine named the American College of the Building Arts as one of the first recipients of its “Heroes of the New South” award. The school was named in the category of Architecture. "In a time when we are returning to the values of craftsmanship, this college is leading the way,” says Heroes juror Jim Strickland. “Their graduates are continuing crafts that we once feared would be lost.”
